ABS Client Receives Chapter of the Year Award from National HQ

The International Hearing Society (IHS) recently selected the New Jersey Association of Hearing Health Professionals (NJAHHP) as their 2012 State Chapter of the Year! The Association was honored at the IHS Awards Gala on September 22 during the Annual IHS Convention & Expo in Glendale, Arizona.

When NJAHHP hired ABS to be their management and lobbying partner in 2010, we focused immediately on:

  • adding and enhancing benefits that truly mattered to the members;
  • strengthening content, timing and delivery of member communications;
  • taking the lead on critical legislative and regulatory issues impacting members.

Over a two year period, ABS doubled membership, raised their profile in the public and with State officials, formed a NJ coalition on an important issue, and collaborated with the National government affairs office.

We are fortunate to work with a dedicated group of Board members and proud to play a role in the Association’s continuing success!

Board President David Weesner summed up our journey best:

     This award is a testament to our hard work and efforts for the past few years. 2011-12 has been a banner year for us, leading the way on several issues.  IHS has recognized our accomplishments and I am so proud and thankful to all of the NJAHHP trustees, members and management team for their support.

     I look forward to continuing to work with you as we strive to improve the status of our profession and the people we serve.

David Weesner, AuD
President
